Starting in 2025, at OpenClassrooms, we plan to facilitate workforce placement for 1M students per year. As a milestone in that project, the Student & Employer Success Team’s area of responsibilities is expanding into Career Services. Today, we handle: orientation, admissions, financial aid, student support, and student services. We’re ready to take on the next key step in the student journey: helping students achieve their professional goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES


This is a brand new role on the Student & Employer Success Team. It’s an exciting opportunity to shape and build this new area on our team! The role is brand new and undefined. We have a clear objective but we’re not sure how we’ll get there yet. Therefore, please keep in mind that the following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities, and you should expect other fun and exciting activities to come up as part of the role:


  • Be a job placement advocate and leader across the organization. Job placement is a big job, we need everybody’s help to succeed

  • Data to measure our impact on our students’ lives

    • Benchmark, track, and monitor Job Placement data

  • Creation and operationalization of the career services department

    • Work with the Career Services Manager to define the scope of our mandate

      • How do we make sure every OC student is equipped to start their job search (resume, videos, mini-CV, career path definition, resources on where to look, interview preparation, portfolios, etc.)?

      • How do we make sure every OC student can easily access a wealth of qualified and relevant job offers to start sending applications and increase their chances to get a job in the field of their choosing?

    • Create and implement processes related to the aboveOpenDeclic Job Placement:

    • Help our OpenDeclic students (re)-enter the workforce! By year end, we should have a job placement rate of at least 70%

  • Employer Partnerships:

    • Participate in developing partnerships with public and private employers to become their talent sourcing partner of choice (Contrat Pro, Apprentissage, etc.)

    • Organize job dating events and other virtual/in-person job placement-related events as needed

    • Collaborate with the Revenue and Marketing teams (+CFA) to identify other potential career opportunities for our students

    • Follow up with employers and trainees alike to make sure that our placements are successful for both parties

  • Re-define “career coaching” at OpenClassrooms:

    • Participate in the re-design on our job placement paths and revisit the role of “mentor, insertion pro” together with the Mentorship team

    • Work with external vendors (agencies) and freelancers to test new ideas on how to best support our students during their job search

  • Tools:

    • Select and implement the right tools to help students, faculty members, and our team be successful (career center, appointment setting tools, etc.)

  • Longer-term considerations:

    • Build and develop an alumni community

    • Collaborate on finding a way to scale and extend our career services activities to our entire user base

    • Make sure everything we build can be implemented internationally (or tweaked to work abroad)

  • KPI’s: Still TBD but so far - OpenDeclic Job Placement Rate, P-Plus Job Placement Rate, Overall Job Placement rate, CSAT

  • SKILLS REQUIRED


    • Perfect written / spoken French skills
    • Strong English skills - B2 preferred
    • Great empathy and ability to remain calm
    • A true passion for education and helping others succeed
    • A love for customer service
    • Desire to join a high-growth start up
    • Results-oriented
    • Tech savvy (experience with most of the following tech stack would be a bonus: Slack, Salesforce, Pack Office, G-Suite, etc.)

Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Perfect written / spoken French skills

  • 4+ years professional working experience

  • 2+ years of experience working in one or more of the following industries: EdTech, HR, Education, Formation Pro (professional training), Insertion Pro, etc.

  • 2+ years of experience interacting with both internal and external stakeholders: candidates, employers, colleagues, freelancers, vendors/supplies, etc.

  • Bonus: Experience and knowledge of “Alternance: Contrat Pro and Apprentissage” processes

  • Bonus: 1+ year Startup experience

HIRING PROCESS

The journey starts with a phone interview and a meeting our HR team.

Then we plan face to face meetings with Pierre, Manager Career Services, and Jeremy, Chief Student & Employer Success Officer and a few other people from the Student & Employer Success and Marketing Teams.
