Senior Legal Counsel

Job description

OpenClassrooms is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel integrated into the Support team. You will work with the various departments (general management, finance, HR, ...) to support them in their projects in France, Europe and beyond!

 

 

REPORTING LINE

 

Reports to the Chief Legal Officer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Give accurate and timely advice to executives in a variety of legal topics (commercial, education, IP/IT, regulatory…).
  • Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties and create relations of trust.
  • Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
  • Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders.
  • Conduct tasks with integrity and responsibility.
  • Maintain current knowledge and developments in legislation.

  • Advanced English: C1 Level and Native French  

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 7-8 years’ experience as in-house Legal Counsel (at an international organization) or within a law firm.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in law (ideally LL.M)-  focus on Intellectual Property would be a plus.

 

 

 

HIRING PROCESS

 

The journey starts with a phone interview and a meeting with Audrey, Hiring Manager.

Then we plan face to face meetings with Lida, Chief Legal Officer and Xavier, Chief Human Resources Officer and Attila, VP Business Development & Partnership.

For the final round, you will meet some members of the other teams.
