UI Designer

Job description

We are a small, but growing Design team. We are looking for a UI designer to work on projects for Mobile and desktop applications. Be ready to work in a fast paced agile environment where things are always changing.


Our ideal candidate has 2-5+ years experience, fluency in english, a master with Sketch-- and is always willing to learn things and take on new challenges.




Reports to the Lead Art Director (Product)



In relation with the technical team, you will:

  • Work on large UI projects from start to finish on Responsive Web and native mobile application 
  • Ensure that developers have all assets necessary to execute design
  • Upholding Material Design UI standards on every project
  • Expert ability to communicate design clearly
  • Adding new components to style guide and update symbols in sketch library
  • Follow style guide and branding on all projects
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without supervision


  • Strong portfolio
  • Fluency in English
  • 2-5+ years’ experience
  • Comfortable following a style guide and reporting to the art director
  • Experience with native IOS and/ Android
  • Must know Sketch
  • Willing to become an expert in material design
  • Solid foundation with Sketch
  • Advanced understanding of .Ai and vector manipulation
  • Advanced level of Photoshop
  • Mastery of at least one prototyping tool (must be able to demonstrate and communicate design clearly)
  • Strong foundation with fundamentals of graphic design such as color theory, contrast and composition
  • Willing to learn new tools and processes
  • Willing to learn Material Design
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Ability to work in an agile and constantly moving environment
  • Good spirit and empathy
  • You are comfortable speaking and writing in French and English (correct spelling required)
  • You are organized and able to handle multiple tasks head-on.
  • You are meticulous with a keen eye for detail.

  • Any technical development experience or web development experience
  • Agency experience and freelance experience
  • Familiarity with a Material design
  • Familiarity with Accessibility design standards 


The journey starts with a phone interview and a meeting with Audrey, Hiring Manager.

Then we plan face to face meetings with Megan, Art Director and Romain, CTO

For the final round, you will meet some members of the Tech team and some members of other teams (Student Success, Revenues, Marketing…)

You will be asked to provide us with professional references contact detail.
