UX Copywriter (French Speaking Market)

Job description

OpenClassrooms is looking for a versatile UX Writer (French Speaking Markets) to partner with design, product, engineering, and marketing to shape great user experiences across applications that help students complete their studies.

You will help set the vision for content and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touch points.

You will play a vital role in defining content strategy, influencing user experience, and evolving OpenClassrooms brand, voice, and content standards.


Reports to the VP Product



  • Write and edit clear, consistent, concise user-interface content, emails, notifications, and product tours, that facilitate the full end-to-end user experience journey.

  • Champion a cohesive brand story across our entire ecosystem of product offerings.

  • Maintain and document evolving content, brand, and voice/tone standards.

  • Manage content production and edition workflow.



  • Native French. Speaking and writing English is a plus.

  • Have empathy for your audience and can anticipate user needs.

  • Always choose clear and concise over clever and wordy to get an idea across.

  • Love both strategy and hands-on writing and editing.

  • Can concept on the fly and collaborate with anyone to get things done.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced organization.

  • Knowledge of online technology and related products, including web and mobile UI and tools.

  • Experience with SEO, localization and accessibility best practices.


  • BA/BS degree in French, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or related work experience

  • 4 years of experience in user-focused writing or editing (e.g. web and mobile interfaces, digital agency, documentation, education, or journalism).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Please provide a portfolio of work that shows a range of content you’ve created, such as interaction flows, emails, product tours, educational materials, and style guides. 

  • Experience in working closely with Engineering, Design, and Product Management teams.

  • Experience in Education would be a plus


The journey starts with a phone interview and a meeting with Audrey, Hiring Manager.

Then we plan face to face meetings with VP Product, UX Designer and Art Director 

For the final round, you will meet VP Communications and members from other teams.

You will be asked to provide us with professional references contact detail.
