This is a new position in the Marketing & Growth Department, with direct report to the B2B Head of Sales

The B2B segment has become a strategic focus in 2020 for OpenClassrooms, with two focus: 

>> Learning solutions for midcap and enterprise (>1K employees) and Apprenticeships recruitment solution for SMB and large caps.

The Business Development Representative (“BDR”) team is the prospection arm on the B2B market, with a major focus on strategic enterprise accounts. The team is growing to reach our ambitious business goals.It works closely on a day-to-day basis with the growth marketing and account executive team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

BDRs initiate exploratory calls and conversation with prospects to see if they'd be potential customers. They need to discover customer’s challenges and projects in HR (Learning & Development, recruitment) and communicate OpenClassrooms value proposition to prospective customers.

If the prospect is a good fit, the BDRs will schedule a discovery call or meeting for an account executive. It's up to the account executive to deepen the relationship with the prospect and eventually get them to close.


Therefore, we expect you to : 

Build tactics to engage relevant contacts inside targeted organizations. For example, it will include mapping targeted accounts, build and operate semi-automated prospecting sequence, write highly personalized email.

  • Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer
  • Determine the prospect's interest in OpenClassrooms learning and recruitment solutions
  • Schedule discovery meetings for sales representatives and prospects
  • Achieve quota of activities per week/month and monthly target of meeting

 

YOU WILL LOVE THIS JOB IF

Engaging with B2B prospects is what drives you everyday. You are talkative, but also you know how to engage online and offline with C-Level contacts or operational ones. 

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Experience reaching or exceeding weekly activity goals and monthly quotas
  • Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, Linkedin Sales Navigator
  • Interest in SAAS, Online education, digital transformation, HR strategies
  • Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills in French (a C1 level is mandatory)
  • Great English communication skills, both written and verbal (a C1 level is mandatory)

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a similar job, where your success relied on your prospection abilities.
  • 1+ year of experience in B2B sales

HIRING PROCESS

  • The journey starts with a first interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team
  • Then a videoconference with the Manager of the team you are applying to join
  • This will then be followed by a case study to validate your practical job-related skills 
  • For the very final round, you will meet other team members (Brand & Comms, Learning, Employers & Student Success, Finance…)
  • Finally, you will be asked to provide us with professional references including contact details.
