As a Direct Marketing & Automation Manager, you will be responsible for generating leads with our different CRM tools, increasing the conversion rate and optimizing the user funnel at every step, based on an ever-increasing knowledge & understanding of our users.


The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude and an affinity for direct marketing (email, push, in-product), an ability to operate and coordinate with multiple teams across Marketing, Tech and Product, and thrive at the intersection of Marketing and Technology.



Reports to the VP Growth




Working alongside our VP Growth, you will:


  • Build & launch direct marketing campaigns (emails, push, SMS etc.) and engage with the OpenClassrooms community;
  • Optimize the user funnel & build lead nurturing workflows to optimize conversion rate;
  • Develop leads scoring systems through automatic workflows and in coordination with the Sales & Student Success teams;
  • Build & own reporting on volume of leads generating, scoring and conversion rate;
  • Coordinate & develop our CRM tools (including Blueshift, Salesforce, Hubspot) along with external service providers when necessary.





  • Team-player with excellent written and communication presentation skills;
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to convey its solutions and influence cross-functional teams;
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on real-time performance optimization and testing everything;
  • Knowledge of Salesforce;
  • Experience with funnel optimization and suggesting product tweaks;
  • Content creation skills, enthusiasm for adding “Waouh” effects in our communication material and for dazzling our community are more than welcomed J;
  • High curiosity for coding, technology and user-centered product is a must; knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript is a plus.



  • 2 to 4 years of B2B and/or B2C experience in a direct marketing role for a technology company ideally in a startup environment;
  • Experience in setting-up new CRM Sales & Marketing automation tools;
  • An ability to thrive in a result-driven environment and to demonstrate achievements backed by data;
  • Engineering or Business Degree with a strong quantitative emphasis;
  • English required.



The journey starts with a phone interview and a meeting with Audrey, Hiring Manager.

Then we plan face to face meetings with Matthieu, VP Growth, and some people from our Growth team.

For the final round, you will meet with our CMO and some members of the other teams.

We’ll also take time for you to walk around our facilities and ask every single question you may have.

You will be asked to provide us with 3-5 professional references contact detail.
