THE JOB

OpenClassrooms is accelerating its business development and is looking for people passionate with making education accessible and helping employers manage their talents.

The Employer Inside Sales Director will be a direct B2B revenue contributor, responsible for structuring the entire inside sales cycle and growing our student community through lead conversion in international markets (FR, UK, US, MENA, etc.)

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving a sales business in a Saas environment, a significant experience in building and managing B2B inside sales teams.

Working alongside the Growth Marketing Director and VP Employer (Sales B2B), your main goal will be to build a team of Inside Sales Representatives that achieve ambitious revenue growth objectives. Each team members must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, generating interest, qualifying prospects, getting qualified apprenticeships job postings from employers, setting up meeting appointments for the field sales teams, and closing short cycle deals.

Initially the role covers France territory, with potential responsibilities expanding to other countries in the mid-term.


WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Build an Inside Sales “engine” for qualifying & converting B2B leads at scale;

  • Design an impactful sales approach to push the right offering to the right lead and acquire qualified job postings from employers;

  • Develop a strong understanding of our target audiences and provide feedback to the growth marketing team in terms of lead scoring and qualification;

  • Standardize sales pitches, implement phone scripts & emails templates, automate sales processes to continuously optimize sales funnel and scale;

  • Build, manage and grow an inside sales team initially targeting the French employers and potentially across international markets in the mid-term.

  • Set up sales discipline, define goals, align and spread best practices;

  • Report on 1) number of qualified job postings obtained from employers,(which will be “matched” to student candidates), 2) on number of qualified meetings organized for the field sales team, on sales (closed leads), on sales cycle KPIs (conversion rates, cycle time etc.), and on financial performance (revenues, gross margin, etc.).

Requirements

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • 7-10+ years of experience building and managing a sales department of 20+

  • Successful experience of leading Sales Managers;

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience on building team & processes almost from scratch at a fast pace;

  • Commercial acumen, supported by a customer-first approach

  • Fluent across sales and CRM automation tools and an expert in defining & documenting processes, ensuring standardization, implementing automation opportunities and increasing team’s productivity;

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Hubspot, Google Analytics would be a plus;

  • Knowledge over lead generation tactics and lead scoring tools;

  • Leadership with excellent verbal & written communication skills;

  • Experience in hiring, mentoring, coaching & retaining a high-performing team (20+), exhibiting poise & dynamism to motivate and spread confidence;

  • English required at C1-level at least

HIRING PROCESS

The journey usually starts with a phone interview and a meeting with Audrey or someone else in the HR department. Then we plan face-to-face meetings with Rémy, VP Employer and some team members within the Revenue department. At one point you will meet with some other team members to discuss about OpenClassrooms’ Values and Culture.  We'll also take time for you to walk around our facilities and have chats with our people.
