Mentors play a central role at OpenClassrooms: they help students 1-to-1 every week to complete projects through visioconference sessions. These professionals are selected, onboarded and managed by the Mentorship team.


The Mentors Partner Manager makes sure that we have enough mentors available to help new students on every OpenClassrooms path. The Mentorship Manager role is to find, recruit, onboard and train mentors. They answer mentors questions and check that they are delivering up to our expectations. Ultimately, they make sure mentors have everything they need to deliver the best training experience for students.

As OpenClassrooms ambitions to train and place 1M students in the workforce by 2025, the Mentorship Manager has a key role to play in scaling mentorship capacity and in ensuring world class quality and mentor experience with OpenClassrooms. Depending on your background and OpenClassrooms priorities, you will work on Capacity related projects (sourcing, forecasts...), Quality related projects (recruitment, training, quality check…), or Experience related projects (communication, support…) with cross team responsibility.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES

 

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze the needs for new mentors on OpenClassrooms paths

  • Define a corresponding sourcing strategy across the globe

  • Hire new mentors by following a rigorous assessment methodology

  • Optimize and enhance the onboarding process for new mentors

  • Train mentors to improve their teaching skills

  • Check that mentors are delivering up to OpenClassrooms expectations

  • Provide ongoing support to mentors 

  • Animate the mentorship community by organizing events, lives, etc.

  • Build loyalty and make sure mentors have a great experience…

  • … and that this turns into a great student experience

Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent recruitment skills: you know how to source and select the right candidates

  • Excellent community management and partner management skills

  • Highly detail-oriented and capable of driving a variety of activities, inclusive of product, marketing, HR

  • Create mentor resources and lead mentor training

  • Plan and execute actions or tactics to increase mentor engagement and loyalty

  • Highly analytical with a data-driven approach

  • Strong understanding of the tech, data, business ecosystems and markets

  • Capacity to understand the target project skills and prerequisites of diverse OpenClassrooms programs

  • Automation mindset: you have a natural tendency to eliminate useless tasks and make business processes simple

  • Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Great English and French communication skills, both written and verbal (B2 level at the very least in both languages, C1 recommended)


DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level education 

  • 5+ years of professional experience

  • 2+ years of experience in the staffing industry (staffing agency, headhunting, etc.) and/or a SaaS company

  • Bonus points:

    • Marketing and/or partner management experience

    • Knowledge of professional training / digital learning landscape

    • International experience


HIRING PROCESS

The journey starts with a phone interview with Ibis, Mentorship Lead (20 minutes).


For the 1st round of interviews we plan face to face meetings with:

  • Ibis, Mentorship Lead (1 hour)

For the 2nd round of interviews, you plan to:

  • Take a technical assessment (business or study case,…) to be done at home or at the office (2 hour)

  • Take an English test to be done at home (at your own pace before the end of the hiring process)

For the final round, we plan face to face with:

  • Audrey, Talent Acquisition Manager (1 hour)

  • 2 peers from teams across the organization to discuss about Culture and Values at OpenClassrooms (45 min)
