Production Manager

Job description

OpenClassrooms’ purpose is to make career mobility accessible to everyone, everywhere through quality online education. 🌎

We are the leading online education platform in Europe and Africa, offering fully-accredited online diplomas based on the skills of the future and gathering each month a passionate community of 3 millions of students from around the world.

In order to produce and maintain all the content our learners need, we organized ourselves into one the most prolific e-learning studio in Europe, releasing and revamping thousands of hours of learning materials each year.

This studio is where a vibrant, diverse and creative team of product leaders, video directors, instructional & multimedia designers and QA analysts all collaborate with a growing network of subject matter experts to try and craft the best online learning experiences.

We are now looking for a passionate and ambitious production manager to join us in helping anyone become future proof.

As a Production Manager, you will work closely with learning products leaders (aka Heads of Tracks) to manage a portfolio of production projects. In this transversal role you will coordinate and synchronize both internal and external team members to ensure that content is delivered on time and within budget.

In other words, you will be responsible for:

  • Production planning in a hybrid (Agile-Waterfall) environment : Every quarter you will be expected to lead the Learning team in turning part of our product roadmap into an optimal production plan that fully leverages our resource capacity without ever exceeding it.
  • SME Operations : you will ensure that all the projects under your scope are well-staffed. Which will lead you to source new subject matter experts, take them through casting and vetting, manage their contracts and ultimately introduce them to their respective production teams. Over time you will become the main contact for an entire community of passionate content creators who you will build and maintain strong relationships with.
  • Budget management : because of your pivotal position in our production system you will be the go-to person for forecasting, monitoring and giving advice on how to best allocate our production budget. Working very closely with the rest of the Learning Products team, you will play a major role in the vast majority of learning products decisions, small and big.
