OpenClassrooms is looking for a Senior QA Engineer, in charge of manual testing and implementing automation. We are seeking a problem-solver and an idea-maker who is able to anticipate both technical and business issues. You will join a new squad with 1 Product Manager and 2 Data Engineers that will manage automation of our business services, and implementing business flows between Salesforce, ZendDesk, GreenHouse, Dataiku, openclassrooms.com, ...


What will you do?

  • Report to the Quality Assurance Director
  • Do continuous testing in agile environment
  • Identify and prepare test data requirements
  • Test our data flow, data integrity and business services with customer service in mind
  • Maintain and execute automation test scripts
  • Provide feedback to the development teams
  • Propose product evolution ideas (UX, UI, Features)
  • Take part in the projects from their designing to their deployment
  • Participate in stand-up meetings, backlog refinements, retrospectives, kickoffs
  • Share your knowledge with the existing QA team (5 people)

        Requirements

        You might be a fit for this position if:
        • You have at least 4 years of experience as a Technical QA Engineer
        • You passed an ISTQB qualification, it will be a major asset
        • You are proficient in PHP and SQL
        • You have already worked with an ETL or at least you understand how it works
        • You understand structured test methods and processes
        • You have a strong understanding of web, integration technologies and architectures 
        • You love to learn, improve yourself, and give and receive feedback
        • Reliability and kindness are part of your mindset
        • You are fluent verbally and in writing both in French and English


        Hiring process

        • Get in touch with our QA Director over the phone
        • Discuss your technical skills with the Tech Team in our office
        • Meet HR and team members from outside of the Tech Team (Student Success, Revenue, Marketing, etc.) to learn about our values and our company culture
        • Meet with our CTO to discuss Tech vision: this is an opportunity for you to understand our upcoming challenges and to ask all the remaining questions you may have

        You will also be asked to provide us with professional references.
